i think i’ve been living in a cave these past few months, what with work and all that. ok excuses.
it was only todai that i finally realised that UNIQLO will be opening here soon. *gasp*glee*coldsweats* i’ve been following (religiously but without much success) on superfuture, and lots had been saying about uniqlo’s threads. so it must be good. so believe the hype, i guessed. now at least, sarip has a nother store to splurge spend wisely, other than muji but of course.
even so i’ve been saying this or that about what threads are nice or not, i’ve always had this unlucky spot whereby i’ll always happen to meet people-i-think-i-know-or-they-partly-know-or-those-who-have-not-seen-for-the-longest-time-ever and it so happens i will be wearing the most dowdy piece of cloth i could ever get. in simpler terms, the ive-been-wearing-niceties-things-for-the-longest-time-but-today-im-lazy-so-lets-just-dress-down-dramatically-day. ya know, like one of those days. and yeah.
or is it just because that i dont, ya know, look, ya know, decent enough. oh what the hell.
but my cravings for good clothes (read: wearable, stylish basic materials, not too loud, not too daylight-robbery-price, not flashy and not very g2000ish – no offense) are still burning in the gut. i’ve been patronizing daniel’s but i realised his cloths are not refined enough and stains are so hard to get rid off. and tj tailors and maharajah’s cloths are fine and dandy, but the peeps working there are not as forthcoming as daniel. so, bummer.
and thus, this is where j.crew comes in. yes, that dawson’s creek james van der beeke thingy. wonder where is he now.
j.crew. love it. but not available here. damn. (i still don’t trust internet purchases. oh woe is me.)
now the point of the story here – if you can bring uniqlo here, can somebody pretty please bring j.crew here also?
rainbows and all.
